Hi I'm Jeanette, I live and work in Washington state and have been making art since the Clinton presidency. My work consists of drawing, painting and sculpture. Throughout my life I strive to experiment and learn. This journey has led me to where I am now in my art making process, which is focusing on painting what I am deeply connected with.

Thank you for your insights Henryk, I appreciate the criticism, so much time alone in the studio it's always good to have another set of eyes as my go blind after some time. You are 100% right I did use a photo reference. I did not copy exactly and photorealism wasn't what I was going for.The problem is I'm a very slow painter. But you are right I actually hate using photos and it's a crutch I struggle with. Thank you again for your honest words.
This is so lovely. I love the layered colors and the resulting tone, which is spot on. I can imagine just staring at this for hours and feeling perfectly at peace.
