David Downs
David Downs (b. 1978, Missouri) is a self-taught interdisciplinary artist, writer, and curator working in Chicago, IL. His work has been exhibited in South Bend Museum of Art, Las Manos Gallery, Baby Blue Gallery, Climate Gallery, APW Gallery, Spudnik Press, and Terrain Biennial. David is a recipient of the Chicago Arts Assistance Program Grant and Hopper Prize finalist. His work has been featured in Barbed, Average Art, and WERKS magazines, and published in die Zeit of Drawing, International Dictionary of Artists, and other publications.
