I paint the emotions I feel for a certain subject. I like to keep my work loose and painterly, letting the bold brushstrokes and texture show. I use a palette knife, brush, and even my fingers to achieve the feeling.

Thank you Emily! It was a challenge to keep the colors muted. I tend to choose really saturated colors but love softer colors too! I also focused on using a mother color and keeping the overall piece warm because of the light from the late afternoon sun.
