GG Kopilak is an artist living and working in Westchester. Her pantings have been shown in national galleries and museums and are collected both domestically and internationally. The National Park Service awarded her an Artist in Residence in Acadia and selected one of her pieces for inclusion in their collection. She received her degree from the State University of New York and studied at the graduate level at the School of Visual Arts. Her studies included painting sessions in Urbino, Italy, and travels throughout Europe and the US. For many years GG taught painting at various schools in Long Island and Westchester, including Westchester Community College and the Northern Westchester Center for the Arts. She has lectured extensively on art history, designed and oversaw several series of bus trips to museums in the tri-state area, and has interviewed artists, gallery directors, museum curators, and others involved in the arts for her cable tv show.
