Stillness

Those moments rare in time as when the sun streams into the room where you are, and a dust mote floats in front of you that your eye latches on to as it drifts by, somewhat downward, but not sure, and almost stopped, so still. The air contains no sound. If there was a sound at all, the mote would move faster. All time stops, the usual traffic, or birds, or children playing, and time folds in on itself, and you hear it...the stillness.
