For his fourth labor, King Eurystheus tasked Heracles with capturing the Erymanthian boar alive. The shaggy boar lived on snowy Mount Erymanthus, and was known for it's swift footedness, even in difficult terrain. This made this labor a test of strategy, rather than brute strength. Heracles tracked the boar to it's cave, waited, then when the beast emerged threw a net over it, negating the boar's speed, and enabling it's capture.
