Noah Greene (b. 1994), a recent Alfred University graduate, is a ceramic artist specializing in three-dimensional ceramic paintings. He is currently exploring the integration of painting and clay to create work based in Queer Theory and Identity. Drawing upon his understanding of clay, wood, textiles and modern technologies, Greene builds large-scale paintings that represent scenes and portraits that refer back to his own experiences as a queer individual in today’s society.  As a transgender, gay man, Greene pulls on his knowledge and personal experiences to help further a discourse between the viewer and himself in the hopes of creating a more compassionate, fact driven conversation about the intersectionality of queer bodies, mental health, community and culture.
