Black Coats Matter

Good fun painting the out of focus blurred lights at night. Always intriguing to see how something up close looks like an abstraction wherein only shapes, colors and values exist. Then you back off a little bit and your brain suddenly puts all the abstractions into a greater, meaningful context. I guess I'm not necessarily wrong when I say that this phenomenon crops up in life all the time.
