Lock Avenue Park #3
This is one of my plein air watercolors I do when my husband and I go to fly drones. Well, he flies his drones; I paint while he is flying. I usually find a spot and will paint whatever I want. I love doing these, cause they are more playful and less worry if they are perfect.

I tried doing watercolor on canvas, did not like the result or how the paint took to the surface even after using watercolor ground. This looks great.

Alan, thank you! Yeah, watercolor can be very temperamental. The canvas can be hard to work with because of the texture.

the texture doesn't worry me, i like having it, it's the absorbency and flexibility to lift color when needed. obviously it is not going to perform the same as paper.
