Food Face

This painting was a prelude to my Big Banana, Big Orange, Big Apple series. Though I'm not sure why, I decided to create a face out of food and set it on a simple background. I was aware of the classic images created by Giuseppe Arcimboldo who created amazing portraits of people made from food items. I didn't go nearly that far - but did have fun painting the Hershey's Kiss!
