Immersion

“Turn on the faucet. Wash yourself with the emotion. It won’t hurt you. It will only help. If you let the fear inside, if you pull it on like a familiar shirt, then you can say to yourself, “All right, it’s just fear, I don’t have to let it control me. I see it for what it is".”
― Mitch Albom, Tuesdays with Morrie
Spring, 2021 was turbulent for me. A lot of change happened. This Mitch Albom quote is a brilliant reminder to embrace emotion - don't run from it. Immersion was the final piece of my spring 2021 collection, although it was close to the first one I started, and the one I struggled with the most.
There were times over the spring when I felt as if I were drowning. We've all been there. I know we have. I turned to creativity (alright - and some glasses of wine!) to work my way through a lot of crazy emotions and triggers. But we made it through the worst of it and can focus on the future.
