Parasols

Early in my career I was with the Karl Bornstein Gallery for about a decade. When Karl found out that I had also been an illustrator, earlier in my career, he asked if I would be interested in making a print for his company, Mirage Editions. The parasols were the first of several prints I made for Mirage. It came at a time when I was very much influenced by Japanese art. I still find elements of Japanese work in some of my paintings.
