Fort Fisher Trees

I live on an island in North Carolina, known as Pleasure Island. The island consists of Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and Fort Fisher. Fort Fisher was a Confederate fort during the American Civil War. It is now a state historic site. These trees have become famous - people get married under them, artists paint and photograph them, people come from all over the country to see them.

It is an acrylic painting finished with a matte varnish.
