Gorilla at the Gate

I may never know what prompted me to create this painting. Perhaps during the height of COVID I was thinking about the afterlife. Imagine making it to Heaven's Gate and being confronted by a gorilla, demanding that you atone for your past discretions. Would we/I be allowed to pass? Far-fetched as it may sound, who knows what awaits us on the other side!
