mutatis mutandis
Mutatis mutandis is a Medieval Latin phrase meaning "with things changed that should be changed". Even though this is a legal term to me it also fits in with our daily lives. Things we need to change that need to be changed.

Very nice mix of color and depth.

With its swirling washes of watercolor, playful splatters and drips of paint, and rich palette, jiro tcholakian’s "mutatis mutandis" is a lovely and giving painting. tcholakian strikes a surprising and impressive balance between deep colors, opaque applications of pigment, and translucent passages of blue. The richness of the blue consuming the lower half of the painting is remarkably achieved while simultaneously maintaining a semitransparent appearance through which the purple, yellow, and red brushstrokes, splatters, and drips can be seen. The impenetrable application of paint on the top half of the painting does not clash with the diaphanous bottom half but compliments and fuses with it. The combination of swirling gestural brushstrokes and emotive splatters of paint create a harmonious vortex that draws the viewer into every detail.
