Myrna Renaud

(1954, New York)

Dancer, choreographer, teacher, designer, producer and mentor. Has worked 46 years in contemporary, experimental and Afri-Caribbean dance; site-specific performance/installation, postdramatic theatre, screendance and expressive therapies.

Known for her storefront window dance installations which she has designed, performed and produced in Houston, San Antonio, Santurce, Hato Rey, Puerto Nuevo, London, Mainz, Barcelona, Miami and Lisbon.

In 2008, Renaud received an award from the Fundación del Colegio de Arquitectos y Arquitectos Paisajistas de Puerto Rico for the creation, production, performance and documentation of Cuestión de 7 - Gira de artevivo santurcina, a site-specific interdisciplinary piece honoring the history, architecture, public art and communities of seven inner city landmarks in Santurce, Puerto Rico.
