Kathleen Ney

I consider myself fortunate to have been creating art in some form since early childhood on. My professional career started with illustrating and designing textiles and graphics primarily for the garment and social expression industries. Since then I have worked with a variety of projects focusing on illustrative work as a freelance artist. Most recently I am developing fine art series, selling primarily on the internet.

In developing a group of original art, I am motivated by my desire to explore ideas in a visual way. Composition, texture and color as well as cultural references influence the work. On a daily basis, the beauty of the natural world and complexity of the human experience provide constant inspiration.
