I am Aja Moon, an International Fine Artist from Washington, DC. I am currently pursuing a Bachelors of Fine Arts at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA. Possessing a vast library of experiences allows for full expansion and exploration of the artist’s mind and heart. Attending the Academy has provided a firm classical background to support the evolution of inspired art creation. I am currently exploring impressionistic portraiture through my preferred medium of acrylic or oil on canvas.

My art is a healing catharsis. The body is not a coffin and it should not hold on to dead things. Art is my way of releasing those things that no longer deserve space. Instead of my art expressing as dark and desolate, as death may cause us to think, I use full spectrum expression of color. My art is a celebration of life for the things that are dead.

My creative process is fully intuitive. All of my art comes from a flow state. I am merely just a vessel for creation. Each time I finish a piece, I am just the first person to see it. I have to record the process at times to know that my hands created what I am seeing.

Nothing to see here... yet.
