Archetype : A metaphysical idea, paradigm or model of real things which are only copies of said ideas. It is a perfect or representative example of something and may be used as a default image. In analytic psychology, it results from humanity’s accumulated experiences. Archetypes are structural elements of the mind and reside in the collective unconscious.
