Inspired by Ophelia, these hands delicately hold a thin, almost invisible veil under the water, echoes of a wedding that may not have worked out, yet fresh flowers to indicate new growth possibilities. Composed from a photo of the same, as most of my realism is. This is an oil painting on a birch wood panel and many layers of gesso, the frame oak. It is 16x29.5x1.5in. This is a new 2-part frame I've constructed. It still allows for absolutely flat hanging against a wall, but also brings it forward for a more 3-dimensional look that grabs attention. The front frame is painted a soft-gloss black, the rear frame is stained oak.

A very contemplative work to compliment any fine decor.
