Flat Land in Memory of Marilyn Moody

This painting is an elegy for a poet and student of mine who passed away suddenly. I love her work; her forthcoming posthumous book is titled Flat Land. I worked from an AI generated image of the Midwest for this piece, and am grateful for suggestions from Fran O'Neil. The whimsical clouds, grain elevator and other buildings are directly inspired by Moody's poems.
