A gibbon has a way of sitting and nestling in its surrounding and it always struck me as vulnerable. The gibbon itself is a very calm and vulnerable species and is by no means a predatory animal. I drew this photo because of tue utter vulnerability this White-handed Gibbon displays while it's sitting within the shrubs. It depicts a sense of worry as if all options are lost and there's nowhere to go, so it's lost in its worry. It's eyes are beautiful and represents despair and so does its posture. I wanted to give this the utmost realism so that the viewer can feel the drawing and have a sense of vulnerability to identify with the gibbon.
