IMMORTAL
We learn from the evolutionary hypothesis that apes metamorphosed into humans. Once upon a time, we preferred living
together in close-knit communities; today, that is a thing of the past, relegated to the pages of a book. It is interesting to note
that the beast called Divisiveness was born in our world along with the another beast called Greed. Different forms of
divisiveness, sectarianism, and ownership have been legitimized by the lawmakers of our society, but Greed continues to be
seen as illegal, as evil. And so, we started harbouring Greed in our hearts, nourishing and nurturing it. Greed and politics of
Divisiveness feed off each other, and walk hand in hand. While both are invisible, down the ages we have borne witness to
the effects they can have on us, in different ways, at different points in time. Yet, for eons, we've continued to make room for
both Greed and Divisiveness in our lives. Strange, is it not? The wise and the learned said this is the solution to several of
modern society's ailments.
