Life During War Time is a take-off from the song of the same title by The Talking Heads. The painting addresses the unpredictability and ephemeral nature of life during the Biafran – Nigerian civil war. “Heard of a van that is loaded with weapons, Heard of some gravesites, out by the highway.”
