Laila's Betrothal

This work was done on a hollow flush door. I started a very angry piece which could be seen in the burnt out and scorched areas of the painting. Over time I made peace with my feelings regarding the subject matter and it evolved to one of my favorite serene paintings. Coming to terms with it is the perfect resolution.
