The inspiration for this painting came from a recent walk on Shackleford Banks, an island off the North Carolina coast. This island is somewhat remote (no bridges) and is home to a number of wild horses.

This is another painting in my "Dunes" series. The inspiration is endless. I love the sense of anticipation to see what's up over the top of the hill (in this case, the Atlantic Ocean).

This is an acrylic painting sealed with a satin varnish. This is a one of a kind artwork.
