Shifting

Shifting is a fun contemporary interpretation of an aspen forest. The background is created with a palette knife and the trees with modeling paste to give them a come off the canvas 3D affect. The initial layer of leaves is painted with acrylic paint and gel and fun collaged leaves create even more depth and texture. On a gallery wrapped canvas, this piece can be hung with or without a frame.
