A flurry of emotive and liberated brushstrokes fong Fai’s Sound of nature is an abstract expressionist painting defined by masterful mixing of acrylic. Aside from a few blue, red, and yellow splatters and drips, every gestural passage of paint is an amalgamation of different pigments. Yellows, reds, and blues are present in every purple brushstroke and vice versa. Greens are born out of the concoction of colors and not directly added to the canvas by the hand of the artist (I think. I could be wrong, and even if I am correct, the artist's hand was still the primary culprit in their inception). The veracity and freedom of the mark-making results in an emotional composition that attaches to the viewer's mind like an unvaporttable memory.
