Ceramic Self Portrait
When lying on the front porch swinging bed, wistfully taking in sunshine, and some music, some objects get "stared at" more than others. I'm not sure how long I stared at this before I had to paint it, but it's very familiar, and my own view of it as well. From one of my favorite places...one of my favorite objects. Why is it a self-portrait? You just have to look carefully to figure that out.
8x10 Oil paint on WOOD panel, not framed as of yet. Will be placing this in a 1/2" thick oak frame that is 2.25 inches wide, so very nice and hefty. This one seems to deserve that. However...note to those who purchase my art: I will reframe or send anything to you UNframed if you so desire. I frame almost everything and most of the frames are custom-made by me in my shop of wood horrors.
