Dodo
The Dodo print began as a graphite drawing, available now as a signed fine art print. The dodo includes several images as well as information about this extinct bird. The drawing was made with the intention of giving this much maligned bird some dignity.

The original drawing was for a show specifically about extinct birds, curated by a friend of mine, here in Los Angeles. I made maybe 8 drawings for the show. I probably still have some of the originals. Each was similar, in that it was a montage of elements. In each case, i learned a great deal about the birds. I'm thinking I will post the Moa as well.

Beautiful rendering! Wish humans didn't pick off the slow friendly animals instead of valuing them.
