Sophie Linden

​Sophie Linden is a contemporary realist artist from Farmington Hills, Michigan. Her work encompasses a body of acrylic, oil and watercolor paintings, linoleum and intaglio prints, as well as ink pen drawings. Her passion for nature inspires her to use her realistic painting technique to explore the realm of the natural world through painting, bringing attention to the beauty of details that exist at even the smallest scale. Sophie is a recent graduate from the University of Michigan’s Stamps School of Art and Design, where she achieved her BFA and a Minor in Art History. In the winter of 2020 Sophie also spent two months studying at SACI in Florence, Italy.  Having graduated in the spring of 2021, Sophie moved back home to Farmington Hills to continue building her portfolio by taking commissions and exploring ideas inspired by the fascinating, mysterious patterns discovered in nature.
