I’ve been practicing art on and off for over 15 years, which has shaped most of my adult life. Primarily my background has been focused on drawing and photography. I am a recent graduate of Harford Community College’s Graphic Design program, with plans to continue a Fine Arts focused program in the future. I would say my artistic style centers on portraiture. The level of emotion that you can capture in someone’s face is, inspirational. Whether I do that in photography, digital artwork, or drawing. I’m always practicing art and I’m anxious to see where that takes me one day.
I think simplifying my artistic style is something that is very challenging, however I will try to convey my artistic expression.
I tend to use what I’ve learned over a lifetime of making art, combining knowledge I’ve obtained in fine art studio classes, and transporting it to the ever-changing digital space. I go about this tactic in a variety of ways. Ranging from digital/film photography, photo editing/manipulation, digital/traditional drawing, and creative work through the Adobe Creative Suite.
In my case, these tools would be my art skills. I’ve gained the confidence needed to believe in myself and believe in my work. The next step is creating a following or convincing you the viewer of my artistic eye and talent. If I could, I would like to leave you with a quote that has stuck with me for a very long time.
“There’s four letters in HATE, but there’s also four letters in LOVE”
