Natalie Pivoney

Pivoney is an oil painter living and teaching near Chicago. She received her MFA from Northern Illinois University in 2019 and has exhibited her work throughout the US, including publications such as Studio Visit Magazine and PIKCHUR Magazine. Her work explores the transitional nature of the undergraduate experience in the Midwest, using exaggerated light and abstracted forms to point out both the limitation and mythologization of memory. Paintings often feature bar scenes, streetscapes, cluttered dorms and apartments, and other nightlife shenanigans.
