Najib Joe Hakim
By day, Hakim works as a photographer. On the night shift, he turns toward other-worldly imagery not so much as an act of capture or even creation, but as an alternative attempt at seeing. He is an Art Fellow at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, the recipient of the 2020 Rebuilding Alliance Storytellers Award for Home Away from Home: Little Palestine by the Bay and Born Among Mirrors, and a past nominee for the US Artist Fellowship. He has a long list of solo and group exhibitions in the US, Europe and India.
