Lewis Hazelwood-Horner

My appreciation of craftsmanship has led to a focus on capturing workers in action; farmers, fishmongers, blacksmiths and brewers have been known to feature in my works. Most recently I've embarked on a project to document Britain’s pubs through the medium of oil. The paintings are distinctive and easily recognizable due to the textured surface. The paint is generously applied to the canvas but in using the primed surface as a pallet, little is left to waste resulting in a wonderfully thick, textured paintings.
