Lauren Trager explores consciousness, isolation, and interconnection of nature through the media of drawing, sculpture, and installation. Currently a graduate student at Teachers College, Columbia University Studio Practices for Art Educators M.A. – graduating August 2022. They earned a BFA in Printmaking with a concentration in Art History from Hartford Art School, University of Hartford in 2015. 

 Trager then moved to Brooklyn, New York in 2015 where they became involved with community arts organization, Refuge Arts. In 2017 they led Refuge Art’s inaugural artist in resident program -then later led artist workshops and interactive participatory community events. Trager currently leads the silkscreen department of a local natural dye studio. 

 Trager’s installations have appeared with Anderson Cooper ringing in the New Year with CNN (2020, Time and Space, Knockdown Center, NY), as art car float in the New York City Dance Parade (2019), and was a first prize winner of Arches Paper Exhibition (2015, Lesley University).
