I am a Chicago artist that works in large scale encaustic painting. My work explores my lived experiences with addiction, rehab, recovery, and bipolar disorder. By working with encaustic, I am able to build many layers, just as there are many layers to every one of us.  As you move closer and look deep you are able to see the whole picture, just as you must get to know someone on the inside to truly know who they are. The goal of my work is to be a vocal and visual advocate for those who live with mental illness. The truth is that many must struggle in silence due to fear of repercussions that the stigma employs.  Through therapy and relentless dedication to my medication, I have managed to come out the other side of this devastating condition and aim to offer hope and understanding to anyone who is struggling with anxiety, depression, or mental health issues.

Nothing to see here... yet.
