Ginger Del Rey

Ginger was born in Madison, WI and has a BFA in Fine Arts from Drake University. She began her artistic career in NYC as a costume designer and scenic artist working in the theatre. This lead to a career as a professional mural painter in NYC, working for both commercial and private clients for over 15 years. During this time she developed her own style of portraiture, with expressions ranging from the photo-realistic to the impressionistic.

Ginger paints detailed portraits and smaller, Hopper-esque intimate moments using oils on canvas, sometimes incorporating gold or copper leaf and saturated drips, washes of paint. 

Her work has been featured in solo and group shows throughout New York City and the Philadelphia metro areas, as well as numerous online publications and art forums.
