Durham-based artist DJ Panyko came to the visual arts later in life but finally feels like she’s found her perfect fit. During the Covid-19 pandemic, she decided on a whim to teach herself Photoshop. That lead to digital collage, which lead to abstract art, and now she works in both digital and analog art. Despite being a newcomer to the art world, she agrees heartily with a friend, who said, “I’ve always thought of you as an artist.”
