Astrid is a Nicaraguan-Honduran artist, based in Lake Tahoe, California. She’s been passionate about art since a little girl, but until June of 2021 that she decided to become a professional artist. For years she struggled with knowing her purpose and worth and after years of internal searching she hit a breakthrough.

Her style has evolved from painting detailed galaxies and mandalas, to abstract realism of women, wild animals, nature and the Cosmos. She loves to sketch and draw images and layer them with spray paint, markers, acrylics, inks, collage and oil paints. Her loose brushstrokes accompanied with refined details demonstrate her personal evolution that went from being tight and close, to opening up and freeing her self-expression. She hopes to create a spark in people’s hearts and inspire her tribe by reminding them of their strength, worth and inner magic.
