Tide Pool V
An original oil seascape painting of shells and shell fragments scattered in a tidal pool. This is the 5th in my series of tide pool paintings. The paintings in this collection are inspired by tidal pools in Mangawhai, New Zealand. This area is rich with sea life and the shells are plentiful. The lava rock tide pools are in a large outcropping at the end of the beach. I was there one day with my family and our 2 dogs. We were enjoying the scenery and I was exploring the tide pools. They were so beautiful that I decided to start a series of large scale works of the shells in the tide pools.
It comes with a certificate of authenticity and I use only the best, artist-grade oil paints and archival surface so you can enjoy your painting for a lifetime.
This painting arrives ready to hang.
