Ixodes

I made this work during the 2020 pandemic lockdown. I had been thinking about the nastier side of nature and also doing a lot of hiking, and this piece references the genus of hard-bodied ticks. I used rope, sawdust, polyester resin, and acrylic paint in the production of this work. The white "tentacles" are bare rope that is still flexible, and the rest of the work is structural.
