Granitoid

Influenced by the night sky, this piece represents a minor planet or planetoid comprised entirely of granite slabs. Each slab was roughly shaped to a circular piece then stacked and epoxied together before finally shaping into a sphere of 12 inch diameter. Fitted with a turning pin it's mounted on a 6 inch thick white marble block.
