Kali

A powerful representation of the goddess Kali, this figure exudes strong feminine energy. It was inspired by a close friend who balances so many aspects of being a woman. As I painted her, my own face began to appear on the figure. This became a realization of the ideal I want to embody.
She is powerful and complicated, seductive and divine. She handles everything at once, with grace and fierce passion. She is everything, and all that is.

This piece is painted in vibrant colors as in the style of traditional images of Kali. Gold paint is used as the background to add to the overall luminous feeling of the painting.
