After quite a few photos of the astonishing Orchid on our dining room table, and looking them over, I decided I had to paint it. It is a single Orchid, with many blooms, now gone all of them, but preserved in the best way possible, on a wood-panel painting. It is the same size and orientation as my "Hands In Water" painting, and will have the same type of frame (currently finishing that frame and will post when all together).

This is a deeply rich floral piece and would complement a formal dining space nicely, or a ladies parlor, or living room. You decide. It is highly detailed and rich in color contrast. This is an oil painting on a birch wood panel, and the frame is a new type for me, a 2-part oak frame.
