Orchid Parade
After quite a few photos of the astonishing Orchid on our dining room table, and looking them over, I decided I had to paint it. It is a single Orchid, with many blooms, now gone all of them, but preserved in the best way possible, on a wood-panel painting. It is the same size and orientation as my "Hands In Water" painting, and with the same type of frame.
This is a deeply rich floral piece and would complement a formal dining space nicely, or a ladies parlor, or living room. You decide. It is highly detailed and rich in color contrast. This is an oil painting on a birch wood panel, and the frame is a new type for me, a 2-part oak frame.
