The Noise From People Who Don't Know
This piece is from a collection named Invisible which spends time with a face the artist knows well, yet does not recognize in the world. Teresa takes inspiration from surrealism, blending landscapes that surround her and are real against the many versions of the self that seem unreal.
This work explores the self trying to find her place, a recognizable place in each of the roles she has played. This concept is a constant hum for Teresa … her own refection, her lack of recognizability, how disconnected she feels from any of the roles she has represented - mother, wife, student, boss, artist, sister, daughter, friend
