Be Here Now

This painting has everything I usually look to achieve, good contrast with light and dark, mindfulness, fashion and textile. The dark of the hair works into the shadows on the top and the shadows on the under leg and feet into the dark floor to create good depth and it contrasted beautifully with the light background and skin tones. For the top I chose to use a loose impression of the textile design and used the Bold visible brush strokes throughout the painting, adding drips at the end to provide additional texture and movement to the piece.
