I was walking through Brynmill Park in Swansea when I came across the main pond. I caught sight of two Canada geese swimming together peacefully as I wandered by. I watched them for a while and particularly enjoyed the ripple effect they caused as they swam. This tranquil scene was the perfect inspiration for a work of art.

I decided to paint this piece with soft shades of watercolour to highlight the serenity of both the birds and the pond. I blended shades of brown and grey to achieve the tones of the birds' feathers, and I also mixed brown, grey and black hues to capture the pond, the birds' reflections and the ripples. Then I outlined each aspect of this piece in pencil.
