Secretary Bird

I chose to draw this magnificent bird becuse it looked like a challenge to draw every one of the feathers and this was very true when I started putting pencil to paper. This was such a difficult drawing because of the fine detailing, but it was very fulfilling when I finished the piece because I found that I was able to achieve the detail and the realism I was going for. Besides the fact that this is a beautiful drawing, what makes it even more so is the beautiful bird itself. Without it, there wouldn't be a beautiful drawing if a Secretary Bird such as this.
