Artist and his model. Painted in 2011 thru 2015. The painting went thru many incarnations as the surface testifies. Some better than others. I tended to do that back then, working on a painting over a long period of time, altering, revising, covering and recovering. It all comes down to basics. I think heaven is when an artist has found his/her subject. And here I think I found mine: the Maker making. Thus the subtitle in French, half in gest.
